Biography
After years of teaching in public schools and witnessing the gap between academic achievement and real-world readiness, Sophonie Cherubin transitioned from the classroom to entrepreneurship with a bold vision: to give students more than just grades—to give them direction, confidence, and the skills to lead.
She founded Kingsway Young Entrepreneurs Academy (KYEA), a global youth entrepreneurship program that helps students ages 12–18 build real businesses, pitch to real investors, and develop leadership skills that schools often overlook. KYEA equips the next generation with tools in entrepreneurship, public speaking, financial literacy, and AI innovation—positioning them to thrive in an economy that rewards initiative over instruction-following.
Today, Sophonie is a sought-after speaker, youth trainer, and Gen Z readiness strategist who partners with schools, co-ops, community leaders, and parent organizations across the U.S. She speaks at conferences, pitch competitions, leadership summits, and virtual panels—helping parents and educators rethink what college prep, career readiness, and personal growth look like in a rapidly changing world.
When she’s not teaching or speaking, you’ll find her spending time with her husband, cooking and enjoying quiet moments with her three beloved cats: Simba, Callie, and Leo.
